The Sonoma County Board of Supervisors has been responding reluctantly to public pressure to limit winery-based events in the county. The direct result of too many events is grid-locked traffic, but this is only one of the many impacts that a too-big wine industry brings, which include: increased pressure for conversion of forests to vineyards, increased water use by more vineyards, and increased use of homes for vacation rentals, which makes our housing shortage more acute.
Show our Supervisors that residents care and want the BOS to control the number of winery events!
Come to the events study session at the Board of Supervisors Chambers (2550 Ventura Ave., Santa Rosa) at about 3:00pm.
