Redwood Chapter is excited to announce the recent publication of Bill Kortum: a Fifty Year History of Environmental Activism in Sonoma County. Written by the late John Crevelli, a retired SRJC history teacher, long-time Sierra Club member, and the co-founder with Kortum of COAAST (Californians Organized to Acquire Access to State Tidelands), the book documents most of the important victories (and some defeats) in environmental protection in Sonoma County over the past 50 years. It's a must-read both for those who lived through these events, and for those who did not.
It is available for a deliberately low price of $10 on Amazon.com and at Copperfield Books in Healdsburg, Santa Rosa, Sebastopol and Petaluma.
