WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Today, Congressman Donald McEachin (VA-4) introduced the 100% Clean Economy Act, a bill that seeks to move America to a 100 percent clean economy with net-zero emissions by 2050 across all sectors of the economy, including transportation, buildings, and manufacturing, as specified by the IPCC. The bill would also create a commission representative of workforce and environmental justice issues to provide recommendations to Congress.

Washington, DC -- Today, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) announced federal approvals of three controversial fracked gas export terminals - Texas LNG, Rio Grande LNG, Rio Bravo Pipeline, and Annova LNG - proposed for Texas’ Rio Grande Valley. Despite today’s approval from FERC, the proposed facilities still do not have all the necessary approvals to begin construction. All three projects still require approval from the Army Corps of Engineers, Texas LNG is still awaiting a Biological Opinion from the U.S.

Included in the bills passed out of committee are the Central Coast Heritage Protection Act (H.R. 2199); San Gabriel Mountains Foothills and Rivers Protection Act (H.R. 2215); Northwest California Wilderness, Recreation, and Working Forests Act (H.R. 2250); Wild Olympics Wilderness and Wild and Scenic Rivers Act (H.R. 2642); the Colorado Wilderness Act of 2019 (H.R. 2546); and the Rim of the Valley Corridor Preservation Act (H.R. 1708).
