Washington, D.C.: The Federal Regulatory Energy Commission (FERC) granted a request for a rehearing and set aside its order approving Southwest Power Pool’s (SPP) discriminatory capacity accreditation approach for wind and solar. The decision is in response to a lawsuit filed by a coalition of clean energy advocates.

Cameron Parish, Louisiana -  Southwest Louisiana residents voiced their opposition to the Commonwealth LNG export terminal, the CP2 LNG export terminal, and the CP2 Express Pipeline - which are methane gas infrastructure proposed for construction in the area - because of these facilities’ imminent risks to their safety, public health, environment, and even the local economy.

WASHINGTON, DC – The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service issued a new biological opinion and incidental take statement after the Fourth Circuit previously invalidated and suspended the authorizations twice already. Most recently, just last year, the court found that the agency failed to adequately analyze the project's environmental context when assessing the detrimental impacts to the Roanoke logperch and the candy darter, a species on the brink of extinction.

WASHINGTON - This week, the Postal Service announced it is purchasing 9,250 electric Ford delivery vans and 14,000 chargers, investing billions into the electrification of its fleet. However, the USPS is simultaneously buying 9,250 gas-powered vans that will be on US roads by this winter.
