GAINESVILLE, FL -- On Thursday, October 18, the City Commission of Gainesville unanimously passed a resolution committing the city to be powered by 100 percent renewable electricity and net zero greenhouse gas emissions community-wide by 2045. The resolution can be found here.

RALEIGH, NC – On Monday, October 15, the Wake County Board of Commissioners voted to commit to transition county operations to 100 percent clean and renewable energy countywide by 2050.

On Tuesday, October 9, 2018, East Bradford Township and the Township of Haverford, Pennsylvania adopted resolutions establishing goals of transitioning to 100 percent clean, renewable electricity by 2035, and 100 percent renewable energy for heat and transportation by 2050.

FORT COLLINS, CO – On Tuesday, October 2, the Fort Collins City Council voted 6-1 to approve a resolution committing the community to shift away from fossil fuels and transition to 100 percent clean, renewable electricity by 2030. The resolution can be found here.

The California Assembly today voted in favor of Senate Bill 100 (Kevin de Leon)-- a bill to move California to 100 percent renewable energy by 2045. This bill also increases California’s clean energy goals from 50 percent by 2030 to 60 percent by 2030. Governor Brown has thirty days to sign this bill into law. Once signed, California will represent the largest global economy and one of the biggest states of any kind in the world to have a goal of moving to 100 percent clean energy.
