Más de 150 Grupos Unen Su Compromiso a la Agenda para Reconstruir Mejor de Biden

Washington, DC — Más de 150 organizaciones, incluyendo el Sierra Club, SEIU, American Federation of Teachers, Center for American Progress y United Food Workers que representan a millones de miembros en todo el país, enviaron una carta a la Presidenta de la Cámara Baja, Nancy Pelosi y a los representantes demócratas reiterando la necesidad de aprobar la TOTALIDAD de la agenda de Reconstruir Mejor (“Build Back Better”) del Presidente Biden por medio del proceso de reconciliación parlamentaria y el proyecto bipartidista de infraestructura.

 

Las encuestas más recientes realizadas por Data for Progress sobre la agenda de Reconstruir Mejor subrayan que todas estas inversiones en el cuidado de la salud, el clima y la infraestructura —además de una vía a la ciudadanía— son populares en todo el país, además de apoyarla exigiendo que los ricos y las corporaciones contribuyan justamente.

Over 150 Organizations Stand United in Commitment to Deliver Biden’s Full Build Back Better Agenda

Washington, DC - Today, over 150 organizations including Sierra Club, SEIU, the American Federation of Teachers, Center for American Progress, and the United Food Workers representing millions of members across the country sent a letter to Speaker Pelosi and Democratic Members of the United States House of Representatives reiterating the need to deliver on ALL of Biden’s Build Back Better agenda through the reconciliation process and the bipartisan infrastructure bill. 

The latest polling conducted by Data For Progress on Build Back Better underscores that all of these care, climate and infrastructure investments -- and a path to citizenship -- are popular with people across the country as well as paying for them through the rich and big corporations paying their fair share in taxes.

"As progressive organizations, labor unions, and advocates representing millions of members across the country we stand united in our commitment to deliver President Biden’s full Build Back Better agenda — including both the Build Back Better Act using the reconciliation process as well as the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act. 

"Together these two legislative packages will make essential investments in infrastructure, jobs, care, climate and a path to citizenship, and would put our country on a path to real, equitable recovery — and to deliver on the commitments that secured a Democratic House, Senate and White House in the last elections. 

"As the House approaches potential votes, we stand united with members of the Congressional Progressive Caucus and urge all House members to vote for the bipartisan infrastructure bill (IIJA) only after the Build Back Better Act is passed and sent to the President’s desk."
