WASHINGTON, D.C.-- Among the decisive actions taken today by the newly inaugurated Biden Administration is an order reversing a ban on travel to the United States from majority Muslim countries.
In response Sierra Club President Ramón Cruz issued the following statement.
“It’s fitting that one of President Biden’s early actions would be to reverse one of Donald Trump’s. Today’s order begins to restore the promise of liberty and justice for all, a reminder that compassion is more powerful than fear.
“We have remained resilient through everything that’s been done to divide, derail and dishonor our most basic rights over the past four years. We look forward now to a new era where our democracy is upheld and every person enjoys clean air, clean water and a sustainable, healthy climate.”
