Salt Lake City, UT -- Tonight, Senator Kamala Harris (D-CA) answered questions in the lone Vice Presidential debate. Mike Pence was also on stage.
In response, Sierra Club Political Director Ariel Hayes released the following statement:
“Lie, obfuscate, and delay. That’s all Mike Pence could do tonight because no one can defend his and Donald Trump’s record of failures – failures that have compromised the health, safety and sustainability of our planet. During tonight’s debate, Pence continued to disregard science and maintain his climate denial.
"Mike Pence and Donald Trump have failed on the climate crisis, they’ve failed on COVID-19, and they’ve failed on the economy. And in a month, the American people can and will ensure their final act will be failing to secure re-election.”
