New York, NY-- On Saturday, December 8th from coast-to-coast, crowds will join events to oppose Trump’s border wall and militarization efforts, including recent atrocities committed at the border against asylum seekers and billions of dollars requested for additional border wall and militarization by the President and Congress.

WHO: National organizations Credo and Movimiento Cosecha with support from Bend the Arc Jewish Action, Families Belong Together, IfNotNow, Million Hoodies Movement for Justice, MomsRising.org, MPower Change, Democratic Socialists of America, Poor People's Campaign: A National Call for Moral Revival, Presente, Women's March

WHAT: #BreakDownWalls peaceful prayer circle and action

WHEN: Saturday, Dec. 8 from 8:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. ET

WHERE: Zuccotti Park, New York, NY 10006. Participants will walk to the final location.

WHY: Participants will rise to break down walls of hate and show the world that they stand with immigrants and refugees, and against Trump's attacks.

TEXAS/ Bentsen Rio Grande Valley State Park Campout:

WHO: Residents and visitors to the Rio Grande Valley.

WHAT: Community Night Out, including a sunset walk, night hike, and campfire with s’mores and music.

WHEN: Saturday, December 8, 2018, 4:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.. CT

WHERE: Bentsen Rio Grande Valley State Park, 2800 S. Bentsen Palm Drive, Mission, Texas

WHY: To show the community that Bentsen State Park is a beautiful, important part of our community, a safe place to recreate, and to oppose the building of border walls which threaten the park’s closure and return to private ownership.
