Today, new revelations from the Washington Post revealed that Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke met with a billionaire developer who has business before the government at the request of his college friend and former football teammate, Ed Hagerty. Zinke is currently the subject of dozens of scandals.
Earlier this week, White House officials revealed that they think Zinke is the cabinet official most likely to be the subject of a House probe come January, when the new Democratic-led Congress takes office.
In response, Sierra Club Executive Director Michael Brune released the following statement:
“Ryan Zinke has proven over and over again that he is incapable of understanding he works for the people, not his football buddies and their billionaire contacts. Donald Trump needs to fire Zinke rather than allow him to abuse his power to enrich himself and his friends for another day longer.”
