LAS VEGAS, NV - Today, the Sierra Club Nevada PAC announced a new mail campaign in support of Justin Jones, who is running for the position of Clark County Commissioner.

The Sierra Club Nevada PAC will send out a total of three mailers highlighting Justin Jones and his strong progressive environmental record. The mailers also call out Jones’ opponent, Tisha Black, who has taken tens of thousands of dollars from developers who are hoping she’ll be their voice on the County Commission.

The mailers emphasize Jones’ extensive record of fighting to protect public lands, most recently leading the fight against a massive new development at the end of Red Rock Canyon.

“Justin Jones is an avid outdoorsman who has dedicated his career to protecting Red Rock Canyon for generations to come, while Tisha Black has taken tens of thousands of dollars from developers who are more interested in their profits than in protecting Red Rock Canyon or our environment” said Brian Beffort, Director of the Sierra Club’s Toiyabe Chapter In Nevada. “As our next County Commissioner, Justin Jones will protect Clark County from sprawl development and ensure that all local families have access to clean air, clean water and open space for recreation.”
