Minneapolis, MN – Today the Sierra Club announced its endorsement of Angie Craig for Minnesota’s 2nd Congressional District.
"We are pleased to announce our endorsement of Angie Craig for Minnesota’s 2nd Congressional District,” said Josh Davis, Political Committee co-chair for Sierra Club North Star. “We know that we can count on Angie Craig to fight for environmental protection, public health and clean energy in Washington. She understands that the challenge of combating climate change and the opportunities provided by good, family-sustaining jobs in clean energy. In the Land of 10,000 Lakes, residents of the 2nd district deserve to be represented by someone who will defend their values. Minnesotans will be fortunate to have Angie Craig representing them in Congress.”
Angie Craig has crafted a plan to combat climate change while seizing on the opportunities clean energy creates for the economy.
“There’s no denying it, climate change is happening and we have to address it now,” said Angie Craig. “We must continue to encourage growth in the renewable energy sector, and become a world leader in innovation. America led the world in creating and adapting new technologies in the 20th century - let’s make sure we continue that trend by leading the global green economy.”
The Sierra Club will mobilize its members and supporters to elect endorsed candidates.
