Portland, OR -- This week, automakers, utilities, labor groups, and consumer advocates are joining environmental groups in signing the Transportation Electrification Accord. The Accord seeks to serve as a roadmap, offering a shared vision detailing how states and communities can establish an equitable electrified transportation future.
The Accord has been officially unveiled during a week of panels and conferences detailing and discussing past efforts by states and localities and where they, and others, can go from here.

In response Managing Attorney Josh Stebbins released the following statement:
“This Accord reminds the world once again, that the future is electric. The widespread support from transitioning America’s transportation sector to clean energy is held nearly universally across the spectrum and it continues to grow as more states and more local governments invest in their future. The Sierra Club is proud to be a part of the Transportation Electrification Accord, and we look forward to putting it into action as we continue the transition across the country.”
