San Diego, CA -- Today, the San Diego chapter of the Sierra Club announced its endorsement of Mike Levin for California’s 49th Congressional district.
"Mike Levin's past efforts and plans for Congress prove he's the environmental champion we need," said Sierra Club Vice President Susana Reyes. "The Sierra Club is proud to endorse Mike for Congress, and we will mobilize our members to make sure he's elected."
An environmental attorney, Mike Levin has prioritized climate action and investments in renewable energy and has spoken out against Donald Trump’s dangerous attacks on climate and environmental safeguards.
“Because of my 12-year history of fighting to reduce greenhouse gas emissions through the development of clean-burning alternative fuels, the endorsement of the Sierra Club has enormous personal significance,” responded Mike Levin. “I want to thank them, not only for their trust and confidence, but for their 126 years of effective activism on behalf of a clean and healthy environment and the preservation of America’s precious public lands.”
The Sierra Club will mobilize its members to elect Mike Levin as the next Representative for California’s 49th Congressional district.
