Washington, DC -- Last night, Politico is reporting that the American Petroleum Institute is holding its board meeting at Trump International Hotel just before its executive committee goes to lobby Donald Trump and his administration. Cabinet officials Rick Perry and Ryan Zinke are slated to speak at the meetings

In response, Sierra Club Resist Campaign Director Maura Cowley released the following statement:

“It’s impossible to tell where the oil industry stops and the Trump administration begins as they are both stuffing money in each others’ pockets. When corporate polluters pour money into Trump’s businesses as he enacts their policy agenda, it’s no wonder cabinet officials like Ryan Zinke and Scott Pruitt have no issues flouting ethic restrictions and laws.”
