WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Yesterday, the United States Court of Appeals for District of Columbia Circuit lifted its stay on construction of the Pennsylvania portion of the fracked gas Atlantic Sunrise Pipeline.
In response, Sierra Club Beyond Dirty Fuels Campaign Director Kelly Martin released the following statement:
"The fight against these dirty, dangerous fracked gas pipelines is far from over. The suit against the Atlantic Sunrise Pipeline is moving forward and we will keep fighting to prevent this pipeline from going into operation and damaging the air, water and communities it runs through."
