ICYMI: Wilbur Ross Pads His Pockets with LNG Exports Deal

Contact

Washington, DC -- NBC News reported last night that, in addition to his questionable ties to Russia, Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross also stands to personally profit from a trade agreement the Trump administration is pushing with China to increase U.S. exports of liquefied natural gas (LNG).

In response, Sierra Club Legislative Director Melinda Pierce released the following statement:

“At this point, it would be quicker to name which Trump administration officials aren’t using their position for personal gain. This revelation about Wilbur Ross’ shady business dealings is just the latest example of this administration empowering and enriching their friends in the fossil fuel industry while lining their own pockets at the American people’s expense.”
