WASHINGTON, DC — Today, USAToday reported that ExxonMobil did business with Iran, Syria and Sudan under President-elect Donald Trump’s nominee for secretary of State Rex Tillerson.

The Sierra Club also released a new video today called "Reject #RExxon" and will promote it in select media markets.

In response, Sierra Club Executive Director Michael Brune released the following statement:

"It was already obvious that Rex Tillerson could not be trusted to act in the best interests of our climate and the health of our families, and now it is obvious that he can not be trusted to act in the best interest of our country. Senators should reject Tillerson without delay, as there is no way someone who so callously disregards the law to boost his own profits should be in charge with shaping our foreign policy. Tillerson is a disaster waiting to happen."
