WASHINGTON, D.C. - Donald Trump’s radically unfit nominee to run the Department of Labor is reportedly withdrawing from consideration after it became clear he could not be confirmed by the Senate.
In response, Melinda Pierce Legislative Director of the Sierra Club, released the following statement:
“Puzder fully deserves to be sent packing, but he is just one of many among Trump's cabinet picks who are unfit for the job. Now is the time that the Senate get tough and stop these dangerous nominees from doing lasting damage to the health of our families and communities. The Senate should now make it clear that Scott Pruitt, with his secretive alliances with polluters, his anti-science record, and his record of misleading the public, is equally unfit to serve.”
