Jonathan Meyers, RF100 volunteer introduced the resolution to the Board with: "The very first section of the resolution cites the commitment of the Board of Supervisors to the health, safety, livability, prosperity, independence, and security of Schuylkill Township and its residents. Those six values and our commitment to them, are the best reasons to support a resolution for a clean energy transition.”
Ready for 100 Timeline
On Sep 12, 2017, Phoenixville Borough Council voted to approve the 100% Clean Energy Vision Resolution.
On Sep 20, 2017, West Chester Borough Council voted to approve a similar set of goals for a community-wide transition to 100% clean renewable energy.
On Nov 7, 2017, Downingtown Borough passed a similar resolution, continuing the momentum in Chester County.
On May 2, 2018, Kennett Township passed a strong resolution that will be a catalyst for southern Chester County.
On Oct 9, 2018, East Bradford Township passed a Ready For 100 resolution, setting the stage for an effort by the WC area Council of Governments to commission a regional energy transition plan.
On Oct 14, 2018, Charlestown Township passed a clean energy vision resolution.
On Feb 11, 2019, Uwchlan Township unanimously passed a resolution, joining neighbor Downingtown Borough.
On Mar 6, 2019, Schuylkill Township passed a Readu For 100 resolution - the second in the Phoenixville Regional Planning Commission area
On Jun 24, 2019, Pocopson passed a Ready For 100 resolution.
At their July 2019 meeting, the Board of Supervisors of East Pikeland passed a Ready For 100 resolution.
On February 18, 2020 the Board of Supervisors of West Vincent Township approved a Ready For 100 resolution recommended by both their EAC and Sustainability Committee. Now all members of the Pheonixville Regional Planning Commission have passed resolutions.
On Aug 12, 2020 the West Whiteland Board of Supervisors approved a Ready For 100 resolution as prepared by the township manager Mimi Gleason. West Whiteland is a member of the West Chester Area Council of Governments and is participating in the WC Area Clean Energy Transistion plan as prepared by the Cadmus Group.
On Mar 23, 2021 the East Fallowfield Board of Supervisors approved a Ready For 100 resolution as proposed by township supervisor John Nielsen.
