Pennsylvania Governor - Josh Shapiro
Josh Shapiro refuses to accept the false choice between a strong economy and a healthy environment. He knows we can have both and will prioritize a comprehensive climate and energy policy that will move all of us forward. As Governor, he will work to create thousands of good paying jobs by investing in clean energy, infrastructure, weatherization and energy efficiency.
As Attorney General, Josh Shapiro has fought against countless attempts by the Trump administration to weaken environmental protections, settled a multi-state lawsuit against Volkswagen over emissions violations, and held frackers accountable for their pollution.
US Senate Pennsylvania - John Fetterman
John Fetterman believes that climate change is an existential threat, and that we need to transition to clean energy as quickly as possible. He believes that it is a false choice that we have to choose between creating jobs and working towards a cleaner environment — we can and must do both. He argues that we must make proper investments in greener, cleaner technology in America — and make more of that technology right here at home. Fetterman says that he has never taken a dime from the fossil fuel industry, and he never will. Fetterman has served as Lieutenant Governor of Pennsylvania since 2019. He previously served as the Mayor of Braddock, PA from 2006 to 2019.
PA Senate District 6 - Ann Marie Mitchell
Ann Marie Mitchell is running for office to uphold the rights of all Pennsylvanians, including the rights to clean air and water and access to the ballot box. With her professional background in wind energy development and metals recycling, she is committed to ensuring Pennsylvania fully embraces the economic development and business growth opportunities of transitioning to a sustainable, clean energy-based economy. Her opponent, Rep. Frank Farry, has a 16% environmental voting score 2021-2022.
PA Senate District 10 - Steve Santarsiero
Incumbent - Steve Santarsiero has a 100% lifetime environmental voting score. After serving in the PA House for 4 terms as an environmental champion, Steve accepted appointment to serve as the Commonwealth's first Chief Deputy Attorney General for Environmental Protection. He is a strong advocate for climate action and accelerating the transition to clean energy. In the current legislative session, he has played a leading role in efforts to defend the ban on fracking in the Delaware River Basin against legislative and legal efforts to overturn it.
PA House District 31 - Perry Warren
Incumbent - Perry Warren has a 100% lifetime environmental voting score throughout his 3 terms in the House. He has focused his recent efforts on safeguarding the ability of municipalities to set limits on gas infrastructure and limit plastics pollution. He is a strong advocate for ensuring Pennsylvania's state parks have adequate funding.
PA House District 29 - Tim Brennan
Tim Brennan has pursued a lifetime commitment to equitable and fair treatment for all people, including ensuring a clean and healthy environment for everyone. From his early years among Pennsylvania's coal fields, Tim brings special awareness of the disproportionate pollution burdens some communities have been made to bear. He brings a strong commitment to speeding the transition to a clean energy economy, beginning with joining the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative. And protecting the Delaware River from pollution is a top priority.
PA House District 141 - Tina Davis
Incumbent - Tina Davis has a 90% environmental voting score over her 6 terms in office. She is a strong proponent of advancing clean energy job growth in Pennsylvania. She sees initiatives like Community Solar as winning bi-partisan support, given a chance. An important focus for her has been securing funding to prevent the displacement of residents in the district after the loss and damage experienced from Isaias.
PA House District 143 - Gwen Stoltz
Challenger - Gwen Stolz is a research biochemist with experience as an industrial contamination investigator for the EPA. She is inspired to run for office to strengthen Pennsylvania's response to climate change, to safeguard the rights of Pennsylvanians, and to combat the undermining of science in public policy decision-making. Gwen's opponent, incumbent Representative Shelby Labs, has voted repeatedly to block Pennsylvania's joining the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative and had a 42% environmental voting record in the 2021-2022 legislative session.
PA House District 144 - Brian Munroe
Challenger - Brian Munroe has a lifelong passion for protecting the natural world and our environment. He first ran for local public office to confront local inaction over PFAS contamination. His top priority, if elected, is spurring investment in advancing the green economy, energy efficiency and renewable energy in Pennsylvania and ensuring that the jobs in those industries are good quality jobs that pay a living wage. His opponent, the incumbent Representative Todd Polinchock, has an environmental voting score of 21% for 2021-2022, and a 16% lifetime score.
