Erika Weir, UIUC Beyond Coal Leader
Erika became involved with the Beyond Coal campaign at the University of Illinois as Community Coalition Chair. In addition to campus grassroots work toward divestment, Erika represents the University group in a coalition of frontline mining communities across the state. Recognizing the need for a just transition away from destructive extraction, Erika is also working to launch a solar co-op in the Champaign-Urbana area.
