For many years, members of the Western NC Sierra Club would gather on a Saturday in the spring to clean up a section of the French Broad River. It was always a fun and rewarding day.

This year we will do again on Saturday, April 27. As in the past, Asheville Greenworks will provide the canoes and all the gear. All participants need to bring is a water bottle and a snack. Those with kayaks can bring their own and ferry the junk they find along the river to nearby canoes with extra cargo space.
