WNC Sierra Club Monthly Program - March 6 - Can We Co-Exist With Bears?

March 6 at 7 p.m. at UNCA's Reuter Center/OLLI on Campus View Road and on Zoom

Ashley Hobbs, a bear biologist with the NC Wildlife Resources Commission in Asheville, will discuss the natural history of black bears with the WNC Sierra Club on Wednesday, March 6, at 7 p.m. She will show how to use that information to safely coexist with these western North Carolina treasures. She will also cover North Carolina bear behavior and biology, as well as what to do in a bear encounter.

The WNC Sierra Club meets monthly in Room 102 at UNCA’s Reuter Center/OLLI on 300 Campus View Rd. and simultaneously on Zoom. Our programs are free and open to the public. Click here to join the Zoom meeting

Can't make the meeting? Don't worry - recordings of the programs are posted on our website a week after the meeting.  Our archive can be found here.
