Pisgah National Forest Hike - Tuesday, March 12

This hike in Pisgah National Forest will start at the Ranger Station and takes Thrift Cove to Grassy Road and then the Sycamore Cove trail and returns to the Ranger Station. We will be on the Starens Branch trail briefly to connect back onto Thrift Cove trail to complete the lollipop route. The length is 5.3 miles and 700 ft. elevation. No waterfalls, but a pleasant hike through the woods. This is an easy hike. The hike will be limited to 15 hikers total.

We will have one meeting location at the Bent Creek River Park at 10 a.m. The second meeting location will be at the Pisgah Ranger Station at 10:30 a.m. at the back of the Ranger Station building in the parking area. When you contact Bill Snow (information below) please state which meeting location you plan to be at in your reply so we know where you will be meeting us.

Well behaved dogs are welcome on the hike, but must be on a leash. If anyone is experiencing COVID symptoms, is still in quarantine after testing positive for COVID, is feeling sick, and/or has a fever, they should not attend this outing. Families are welcome! Any children should be accompanied and supervised by parents or other adult family members.

Please contact the outing leader, Bill Snow, to sign up, get directions to the meeting places, and to ask any other questions. Email Bill at billsnow123@gmail.com or text/call 857-756-3815. We hope to see you there!
