Pathways to Parks is an organization designed to encourage Black folks/People of Color to get out into the woods and enjoy the environment.   ALL people are invited to participate in these hikes.  Hikes are available for varying abilities….but all are FUN!  Information on the hikes is made available after you sign up on their website (link below).   SO…put your name on the CONTACT list for Pathways to Parks….and go have a great time hiking in the woods!

HOOD HUGGERS/ Burton Street PEACE GARDEN
 
Learn about a unique approach to revitalization and the promotion of resiliency in historically African American neighborhoods with the Community Accountability Plan (CAP) . CAP involves building and supporting connecting green spaces as a pathway in assimilating  trauma.
 
 
 
BLACK FOLKS CAMP, TOO
 
Now partners with the NC Dept. Of Natural and Cultural Resources, Black Folks Camp Too is a great avenue for engagement and participation with diverse communities.  This new NC park initiative, PATH (Parks and Trails for Health), combines physical activities in the outdoors with educational moments.   Black Folks Camp Too founder, Earl Hunter, Jr, intends to unite the outdoors, Black Folks, and outdoor industries.  Read more about this inclusive enterprise at the website link below.  Be sure to read An Open Invitation under ABOUT…explore,  and GO CAMPING!
