William will talk about environmental racism and the disproportionate impact of environmental hazards on the poor and people of color. William, Son of Reverend Barber, currently serves as co-chair for the North Carolina Poor People’s Campaign Ecological Devastation committee (www.breachrepairers.org/blog/eco-devastation) and is a member of the North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality Secretary's Environmental Justice and Equity Advisory Board.
