This event is co-presented by the Western North Carolina Sierra Club, The Climate Reality Project and the Poor Peoples Campaign.  William will talk about environmental racism and the disproportionate impact of environmental hazards on the poor and people of color.  William, Son of Reverend Barber, currently serves as co-chair for the North Carolina Poor People’s Campaign Ecological Devastation committee (www.breachrepairers.org/blog/eco-devastation) and is a member of the North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality Secretary's Environmental Justice and Equity Advisory Board.
