Air Quality Commission Recruiting New Members!

If your interest is in our county's air quality, this opportunity is for you!

The Air Quality Commission (AQC) is a citizen group that provides input to the Mecklenburg County Air Quality (“MCAQ”) staff, the Board of County Commissioners and local municipalities through the review and recommendations of air pollution management policies, long range plans, and operations.  Members must live in Mecklenburg County and attend the AQC’s monthly meetings, typically at lunchtime on the fourth Monday of every month in MCAQ’s new offices.  The offices are located in the old Charlotte School of Law building off Wilkinson Blvd.

Central Piedmont group asks that the applicant indicate a relationship with Sierra Club, understand basic Sierra Club policies and report to our Group periodically.

If you are interested, or know of anyone that may be interested in a position on the AQC, consult their website to apply:   http://charmeck.org/mecklenburg/county/LUESA/AirQuality/EducationandOutreach/Pages/AQC.aspx
