Sierra Club Group and Chapter Elections Are Open
Hopefully you all got an email letting you know that elections are now open for the Blue Ridge Group's Executive Committee and for the NC Chapter's ExCom. Iris Carman, Dale Kirkley and Richard Gray are presently on the Group's ExCom and are all running for re-election for another 2 year term. We have two additional vacant positions that could be filled by write-in voting. If you want information about duties of ExCom members please email us at blueridgesierraclub@gmail.com
We're Going For a Hike
We are excited to announce that we are planning our first outing in about 25 years. Please join us Saturday, January 11, 2025 for a leisurely hike at Trout Lake and Rich Mountain. This is part of Cone Memorial Park on the Blue Ridge Parkway near Blowing Rock. The hike covers about 2.7 miles with just an elevation gain of about 300 feet.
