The Sierra Club NJ Singles Section's mission is to encourage membership in the Sierra Club, work on environmental issues, and hold social events where environmentally-motivated people can meet.
We highly recommend that our participants join our national parent organization, the Sierra Club, dedicated to exploring and protecting the wild places of the earth. Your donation helps your voice to be heard through congressional lobbying on environmental issues. The Sierra Club is a member-supported environmental organization, which seeks to influence public policy in both Washington and the state capitals through public education and grass-roots political action.
JOIN! Applications are available at all Sierra Club Singles Section events, as well as at local group meetings, or online.
We get frequent questions about the age range of those attending our events. The age range varies widely (from 30s to 60s and beyond), depending on type of event and difficulty (if it's a hike).
Outing or social event leaders may collect a $3 surcharge per event to non-Sierra Club members to cover operational expenses.
All activities are open to all, regardless of membership or marital status. However, we strongly recommend that once you have participated in 3 of our events, you join our national parent organization, the Sierra Club.
Please join us as we enjoy our natural areas and learn about how we can protect them.
