The 2020 session of the Nebraska Unicameral’s 106th Legislature that recessed twice in March due to the covid-19 pandemic and then returned in August to complete the short 60-day session, adjourning sine die on August 13, 2020. 507 bills were introduced in the 60-day session; nearly 300 separate bills (ignoring that many were Christmas tree bills that contained multiple bills) were sent to the Governor. Because the Unicameral adjourned without a five-day gap between its 59th and 60th days the Governor will be able to pocket veto bills passed in the final days.
