Details
Veterans are especially welcome. Open to everyone, including new or prospective club members. This outing is an opportunity to learn about the activities and conservation efforts of the Sierra Club. A leisurely morning hike along a riverside recreational trail. From the Sunrise Recreation Area (Upper Sunrise Boat Ramp parking lot, east side of the Old Fair Oaks Bridge), we’ll follow the trail along the shadier south shore of the American River to Hagan Park, where we’ll have lunch at the picnic tables. This route is approximately 8 miles roundtrip and flat. Bring lunch and liquids. Apply sunscreen as trails are sometimes exposed. No pets. Rain cancels. The hike is limited to 15 participants. The leader keeps a pace on the slow side of moderate. Each participant must sign the Sierra Club Sign-In & Waiver Form at the trailhead. There is a $7 parking fee. The leader is Shawn Britton at 408.242.5092 or [smbritton@comcast.net](http://mailto:smbritton@comcast.net).
