The 13 person volunteer Executive Committee (ExCom) forms part of the governing body of the Sierra Club, Missouri Chapter. Members are committed to the long-term interests of the Chapter and meet regularly to oversee and direct business operations, set policies and priorities, approve business decisions, evaluate executive performance, and fulfill fiduciary responsibilities. The ExCom is composed of 9 At-Large positions elected by the general Sierra Club membership and four (4) Group Delegates who are appointed by the Missouri Chapter Group Executive Committees. Terms are for two (2) years beginning in January following the election. Members are eligible to run and serve for three (3) consecutive terms.
The ExCom is led by a Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary, and Treasurer who are appointed by and from the ExCom and work closely with the staff Chapter Director.
