Nearly every weekend, the Thomas Hart Benton and Kanza Groups jointly offer a variety of day hikes or over-night backpacking trips for beginners, experienced hikers, and families. See below for a complete list of outings.

• 11 National Monuments, Triails, and Historic sites 
• The Mark Twain National Forest
• 8 Federal Wilderness areas
• 9 Federal Wildlife Refuges
• 56 State Parks containing 35 Natural Areas  and over 20,000 acres of Wild Areas
• 35 State Historic Sites
• Over 1000 State Conservation Areas
