The Sierra Club North Star Chapter is YOU! Contribute your time to protect the air, water, lands, and climate we all depend on.
Some organizations have volunteers. The Sierra Club North Star Chapter is volunteers — trained leaders supported by a professional staff, backed by national expertise and know-how. Our volunteers work with staff to select our priorities, conduct the work, and make real change.
Volunteer Teams
Our volunteer teams are open to all Minnesotans. Our work benefits from the engagement of people from all communities—Black, brown, white, rural, urban. We’re committed to creating inclusive, welcoming spaces where we advocate for environmental equity together. Read our equity statement.
Generally, participating in a team requires a minimum of 2 hours per month. And, if you’re willing and able, we’d like you to become a leader and take on additional responsibility.
Stewards
Make a difference for waters, forests, and wildlife. As a steward, you'll help research, monitor, and advocate for policies that help protect Minnesota's unique environments. You'll be on the frontlines in our efforts to preserve and help grow our natural resources.
