The chapter’s newest team–Degrowth–is holding a kick-off meeting November 18th at 6:30 pm. (RSVP here) This is for anyone curious about the concept of degrowth, and those who wonder how to stop the earth’s rampant climate crisis which is spurred by the philosophy and practice of endless growth. The team has identified a number of tasks as we start our work, including communication, curation of educational resources, assisting other teams in incorporating degrowth principles, and building alliances with other groups to forward the team’s agenda.
The North Star Executive Committee has approved a draft statement of purpose which will be guiding the work of the team going forward. Feel free to check out the team’s growing library.
