The Land Use and Transportation team is celebrating the passage of the "comprehensive planning clarity" bill at the State Legislature, a hard-fought battle to allow cities to increase housing density in already-developed land and preserve the power of the Minnesota Environmental Rights Act. Land Use policies that fight sprawl and support housing density in transit-friendly, walkable, bikeable areas are one of the best ways to reduce transportation emissions and preserve farmland and green space in rural areas.
