Duluth folks are encouraged to show up in solidarity with Superior's Neighbors Against NTEC to help stop a proposed fossil gas plant in Superior. The Superior City Council and Plan Commission will vote soon on rezoning the NTEC site, and you can make a difference.
On Tuesday, March 19th 4:30 - 7:00 PM there will be a rally, followed by a Superior City Council meeting. Show up in solidarity.
Wednesday March 20th at 12:00 there will be an info session and sign-making event, followed at 4:00 by the Superior Planning Commission meeting which will determine NTEC’s rezoning request. RSVP here for the info and sign-making session and here for the Planning Commission meeting.
Volunteers are also needed for outreach and education through tabling, distributing yard signs, and writing letters to the editor as we work to stop the NTEC gas plant and advocate for a clean energy future. Contact Jenna Yeakle to plug in.
Finally, join fellow volunteers Saturday March 23rd at 10 am for a beautiful spring hike along the shores of Lake Superior. We will be walking for 3-4 miles along Park Point. RSVP here.
Outings are led by volunteers who plan and lead events, and we are seeking more outings volunteer leaders! We are fighting for a future where all people benefit from a healthy, thriving planet and a direct connection to nature. Our local outings program helps us create this future by increasing the number of people connected to the outdoors and the Sierra Club. Sign up here if you're interested.
