The Sierra Action team met (virtually) this month to discuss the group's current initiatives, as well as to conduct phone banking in support of the East Phillips & Roof Depot Project.
The team will be supporting the North Star Chapter’s Fall Celebration & Sierra Club Connect on September 11th, and will also host a social gathering for Sierra Action at the end of September. The latter event will also serve as a recruitment opportunity for interested potential volunteers; the specific date and location are to be determined.
Sierra Action continues to recruit for phone banking efforts, and is especially seeking experienced volunteers to take leadership roles in phone banking sessions this election season. Training sessions are being held on Saturdays this fall.
