The Sierra Club North Star Chapter represents over 80,000 members and supporters across Minnesota empowered to protect our communities’ well-being through environmental advocacy.
In line with our mission and commitment to racial, economic and environmental justice, we proudly support striking union members of Teamsters Local 120 at Marathon’s St. Paul Park petroleum refinery.
The health and safety of workers and communities and the protection of the environment are inextricably linked. Workers’ rights and worker empowerment are powerful ways in which we can move towards a more just environment. We must fight against the exploitation of workers, hand in hand with those who are on the frontlines.
The North Star Chapter stands in solidarity with union members who are advocating for safer working conditions, fair treatment, and protections for their communities and environment. We call upon our members and supporters to join with Teamsters 120 in their efforts to acquire a fair contract.
