The Anne Arundel Sierra Club Group had their annual dinner on Saturday, January 30, 2016, in the meeting room at Calvary United Methodist Church on Rowe Boulevard in Annapolis. About 50 members and friends of the Anne Arundel Group attended the potluck supper and program that began at 6:30 p.m. The attendees are famous for their delicious food at the dinner.
Dr. Heath Kelsey, the Program Director for the Integration and Application Network based at the University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science, was the featured speaker of the evening. He talked and demonstrated how the Ecosystem Health Report cards are developed and used.
The Sierra Club honored Mike Lofton for his dedicated work as Chair of the Anne Arundel County Public Access Committee, and former Senator Gerald Winegrad for his leadership in opposing the development of the Crystal Spring property.
