The LNG export industry has deadly outcomes that continue to increase every year. The permitted air pollution from the LNG export industry is causing up to 4,470 avoidable deaths and $62.2B in health costs by 2050. This alarming new analysis shows that communities both near LNG facilities and located further inland of Texas and Louisiana face high public health burdens from LNG terminal air pollution. It's clear that ‘Enough is Enough’ when it comes to the LNG buildout!

The D.C. Circuit Court issued a decision that effectively cancels dangerous methane gas projects Rio Grande LNG, Texas LNG, and the Rio Bravo pipeline in South Texas, previously approved by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC). The Court agreed with us that FERC failed to adequately assess the environmental justice impacts of the project and how it would harm communities in the region. Now, we must keep up the pressure to stop new LNG fracked gas export facilities for good.

On Friday, January 26, President Biden halted all new liquified gas exports, known as LNG, effective immediately! The importance of this win cannot be overstated. The emissions impact of all the proposed and under construction gas export projects would have been the equivalent of over 550 new coal-fired power plants.
