The Cumberland Chapter, which encompasses the entire Commonwealth, also has six regional groups across the state, that provide opportunities to get involved at the local level. Each group has their own local conservation priorities tailored to their region. In addition, we sponsor a statewide outings program that offers opportunities to explore Kentucky's natural and wilderness areas through dayhikes, extended trips, backpacking, canoe trips and other activities. All outing activities are sponsored and supervised by the chapter's Outing Committee, and each outing is led by a trained and qualified volunteer outing leader.
