Ecologist and photographer Chris Helzer will share stories about the incredible diversity of plants and animals that live in prairies. He’ll also talk about human relationships with grasslands, including land stewardship practices, both historic and contemporary, that keep prairies healthy and productive.
Helzer is The Nature Conservancy’s Director of Science and Stewardship in Nebraska. Visit his blog at https://prairieecologist.com/ to peruse essays, photos, and discussion about prairie ecology, restoration, and management.
Your RSVP is appreciated but not mandatory: https://bit.ly/HelzerNov18 . Providing us with your contact information will ensure you receive updates about this program, any related resources, and notices about future related events and efforts, if you wish.
This project is coordinated by Northwest Iowa Group of Sierra Club (nwiasierragroup@gmail.com), and is funded by BeWildReWild.org.
