"We have seen firsthand how the number and amount of invasive plants has exploded in the last 10 to 15 years, and we are concerned that areas in Shawnee National Forest will not be managed to protect these areas from being taken over by invasives," said Barbara McKasson of the Shawnee Group, Sierra Club Illinois.
