Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot released a new Climate Action Plan for the city with 51 goals to be met — the fourth such plan to be introduced by three Chicago mayors over a little more than a decade.
“I certainly welcome strong climate action plans, but the rubber really hits the road when these plans become ordinances with statutory requirements and line items in the budget to accomplish them,” says Christine Nannicelli of Sierra Club Illinois.
