Sierra Club Illinois Celebrates Black History Month

The Sierra Club knows that Black lives matter, Black history matters, Black futures matter, and Black stories matter. Black History Month is an annual celebration of achievements by Black people and their central role in United States history. This February, the Illinois Chapter will celebrate Black History Month by sharing stories and facts that lift up Black history and environmentalism. In addition, we will celebrate and honor Black activists and environmentalists who are making history today. The Sierra Club is committed to centering Black voices in our advocacy, and the continued learning and action necessary to achieve environmental justice. Follow us on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter to learn with us and share these stories, and to stay tuned for upcoming events.
