Rep. Erick Allen has served one term in the Georgia House. In those two years, he has proved to be a tireless warrior for the health and welfare of his constituents. While many other stakeholders and leaders took a supporting role, Rep. Allen led the fight when it became known that carcinogenic ethylene oxide was being released into the atmosphere from the Sterigenics facility in his district. Rep. Allen was unflinching. He never stopped fighting to protect the public and to ensure that no future bad actor could hide behind inadequate regulations. He is exactly the embodiment of what we at the Sierra Club want to see in our champions.
