The Sierra Club Georgia Chapter works on a wide variety of environmental issues, including implementing smart energy solutions, securing green transportation options, and protecting wildlands and wildlife. Getting involved in an Issue Committee is a great way to take action on issues you care about!

Clean Energy Committee

Affordable clean energy, powered by Georgia's ample solar and wind resources, has the potential to create tens of thousands of lasting jobs and produce a majority of our state's energy needs.

The Sierra Club Georgia Chapter works every legislative session to keep Georgia's state lawmakers accountable to people and the environment.

We need elected officials who will pass laws to protect our water and wild places, expand transit and renewable energy, and to keep us moving forward.

Transportation Committee

The Transportation Committee advocates for transportation choices, such as mass-transit and biking, and transit-oriented development in Georgia. We believe that traveling by car should be just one of many options available to Georgians.

We advocate for responsible management and protection of our public lands and wild forests and work to preserve and expand habitats that protect vulnerable wildlife.
