The Georgia Chapter’s Annual Volunteer Awards are our chance to honor exceptional contributions to the Sierra Club’s work across the state of Georgia. These volunteers have shared their gifts to move the needle with our ongoing work exploring, enjoying, and protecting our most treasured places in Georgia. Join us in recognizing the impressive individuals who continue to use their skills and talents to affect change in their communities and beyond.
We encourage any and everyone connected to our work to nominations in one (or all six!) of the following categories:
Nominations:
The annual awards seek to recognize Sierra Club volunteers who have made exceptional contributions to our collective work. These awards intend to highlight the work of lots of different kinds of leaders - whether or not they’d identify themselves as such! We’d love for you to consider nominating volunteers flying under the radar, steadily plugging away in their communities or quietly shaping the world around them.
Special consideration and priority in awards selections will be given to new award recipients; those who identify with communities traditionally under-represented in the larger environmental movement; and those who are newer to the Sierra Club.
Process:
Nomination submissions are due by end of day December 1st. Nominations will be reviewed from a selections committee of Chapter volunteers by the close of the year and recipients will be notified in early 2022.
